Experience the Bayreuth Festival live in your own home! Richard Wagner himself dreamt of a festival accessible to everyone. This year the Bayreuth Festival, in association with Siemens AG, is offering Wagner lovers the opportunity of watching Tristan und Isolde as a webcast on our homepage.

Join us on Sunday, 9 August 2009, starting at 3 p.m. when we broadcast Christoph Marthaler's production live via the Internet! If you purchase one of the limited number of online tickets for this special event, you will have the exclusive chance to chat about the production online and savour the Festival atmosphere from your own home!

Only if you have an online ticket costing €14.90 will you be able to enter the backstage area virtually during the intervals, since access is reserved exclusively for webcast users!

Are you in a different time zone or do you have important appointments on the day?
No problem! With the webcast you can either watch the performance live on 9 August 2009, simultaneously with the audience in the Bayreuth Festival Theatre. Alternatively you have one possibility to watch it on demand at a time of your own choice between the 10th and 23rd of August 2009.
